Just upgraded to limesurvey250plus-build160206. Followed all the instructions.

In the template editor, the previews of all the themes look the same (blue, light blue). Even the orange theme appears blueish in the preview.

It cannot read MY templates, created in an earlier version. For example, template.css is blank in the editor, though the files have been uploaded to upload/templates.

If I upload files in the editor, they do not show on the right side (they are being uploaded as I confirmed they are added to the folder).

I cleared cache. Doesn't seem to be a permission issue if i successfully uploaded.

Did I miss a step in the process?

Thanks in advance

In Version 2.5 the structure for templates is different. You will need to adapt the old templates from previous versions to work with LS 2.5.

Thanks

Can you point me to to instructions on adapting the old templates?

Not sure if this answers why files don't show uploaded or all previews look the same, even with the new templates.

Unfortunately there is not yet any explanation on that from what I know. I picked up here in the forum that some config.xml or something is required.

I think that the best bet is to use the new responsive default template and built your own template on that.

Am trying that.

Copied default template. It's in the editor, but I still cannot see uploaded files (like my header.jpg) in the list of files on the right.)

The file exists in the folder, just not showing on my screen.

Hi,

1: wait for the new release : github.com/LimeSurvey/LimeSurvey/commit/...525ae7e9c7fb73430b11

Or:
Put a "light" config.xml in the template you need to test.

The lightest 2.06 compatibility for pre fix is here : github.com/LimeSurvey/LimeSurvey/blob/ma...s/minimal-config.xml

PS:

Copied default template. It's in the editor, but I still cannot see uploaded files (like my header.jpg) in the list of files on the right.)

The file exists in the folder, just not showing on my screen.

I think there are an issue in actual system.

Maybe you can report this bug
1: try with core default template : find if you can upload something (img for example)
2 core copy template css edit/ js edit etc ...

And after with you own template : because i think we need , in config.xml : css dir, js dir, files dir.
Denis

Yeah, I'm really not concerned about the old template...I can easily rebuild that with one of the new ones.

My concerns are that

1. The preview of every template in the editor page all look the same dark blue/light blue default theme.
2. Cannot see upload files on the right.
3. no matter what changes I make in the editor working off a copied template, they don't show up (same default theme showing)

Frustrated because I never had a single issue with Lime Survey until this update.

A bug not reported is a bug not corrected. |

Think this one is already here : but you can add your part.

Looks like latest update resolved much of the template display problems. However I can not still see uploaded files in the other files screen on the right.

I downloaded template (that i found elsewhere called TRFResponsive) I CAN upload and see uploaded files in that template (though I don't want to use it).

But when I copy templates included with lime survey (default, newspaper, ubantu orange), I CANNOT see the other files.

We're getting closer...but not there yet.

Think i open a dev bug for this :

Think config must have
- asset directory : use it for asset if exist (not null)
- css directory (default to asset if exist, default to . if not)
- js directory (default to asset if exist, default to . if not)
- img directory (default to asset if exist, default to . if not)
- files directory ? (default to asset if exist, default to . if not)
+ other directory list (somethink like extra dir)

When editing :
- Allow update for view/js/css and upload

When use template in public : debug 0 : use asset if exist (better to have all static files at the same place), if not asset css and js if exist. If not : don't use asset.
