I am using the community version Version 4.1.11+200316.
Some of my users are complaining that the survey times out before they can move to the next group of questions. Is there a way to increase the session time or time to complete the survey please?

if the problem is the session time that you need to fix this in your server settings.

Depending on your hosting environment you should first check the php session settings. You can do that via phpinfo inside LimeSurvey.

The session timout is controlled via php setting "session.gc-maxlifetime".

You will need to consult your provider and/or webmaster to find a way change the setting.
There are different ways (e.g. htaccess on Apache or via .user.ini when PHP-FPM is used) to override the value of session.gc-maxlifetime.
