Thank you holch and tpartner for your help!!!
I double postet since i couldn`t find a solution in both forums, my problem is unfortunately not solved yet and thought it might as well help people who don't speak german and read it here.
@ tpartner thank you for your file. The file is working perfectly. I made in analogy all the changes in my survey
1 checked for unnecessary code in the equation
2 wrote "randnumber" instead of "rand"
3 put the randquestion within the first question group (Instructions)
4 and also found, that I always had randnumber =='1' instead of randnumber"1", so I changed that as well.
When I check the Syntax, I get no errors- but still, the preview is not showing me the question groups 2-19.
Do you or someone else have any other Ideas I could check???

export your .lss file again. I suspect that you did not change everything accordingly.

here is a short version of my survey. It gives me no syntax error, but its somehow just showing initial and last question group and none of the three i want to randomize.

How strange is that- in my Lime version it's never showing me the junk. But i think it was a copy paste error- because I copied your Syntax from the forum and didn't type.
So now there is a new file which shouldn't have the HTML junk

Now you have forgotten the curly braces around the equation and you have an unnecessary closing bracket.
Here is a working version:

yes, found this as well. When you are doing stuff like this, don't hide the equation question right away. You want to test if the equation is working correctly. If the question is hidden from the beginning, you won't see that.
Here is how the equation question looks like, when it is not hidden:
So it doesn't show the actual calculation, but rather the text of the equation itself, this indicates that there is something wrong with the equation.
