How is it possible to make the list of options for question 2 to be dependent on the answer to question 1?

For example -
Question 1 - What state to you live in?
Question 2 only lists the cities in that state

Replied by tpartner on topic Question 2 dependent on answer to Question 1
The simplest way is to create multiple "city" questions and hide/show them via relevance.

If we only would have "answer option relevance" and not just "subquestion relevance"...

I wonder if answer relevance is seen as a big issue. The bugreports are years old and nothing changed. The codebase seems to complex.

Hi,
both are single questions.

That's easy to realize and there were several posts about this.

Here an example.

Saw too late that Jelo linked to my three step example.

I can totally understand that. But it would be great to get some kind of feedback like "This is very complex to implement. At the moment we are not thinking about this." or something like this.

I still have my hopes up for a "answer relevance" one day...

Of course in this specific case it can be solved by using additional questions and relevance equations on question level (Joffm's example), but i think it would be so much nicer / cleaner with "answer option relevance"
