Integration with jomla was created by perryworld
Hi,

We are looking to integrate limesurveys into our Joomla website and want to know is it possible once logged into Joomla
to automatically login to limesurveys when accessing a survey.

We can display the survey using iFrames but would prefer for the users not to have to login twice (Joomla/LimeSurveys)

Is this possible?

Thanks for any help

Cheers
Rich

There is no integration tool to sync user accounts between LimeSurvey and Joomla.

The authentification manual section for LimeSurvey is here:
manual.limesurvey.org/Authentication_plugins

What version of LimeSurvey is used?

The meaning of the word "stable" for users

Hi Jelo

Thanks for your reply
We are on Version 3.5.1+180312

Is it possible to pass the user id through to Limesurveys via the URL from Joomla?
We are trying to avoid a double login situation.

Thanks
Rich

LimeSurvey uses Yii.
So your question is: how to integrate Yii 1 inside Joomla 3
www.yiiframework.com/wiki/137/include-yi...-in-a-joomla-module/

It's not something easy to do. It's not even useful. Wrapping the admin interface inside another interface? Why? What for? It's more visual noise.

The question was how to prevent additional registration for Limesurvey. I cannot read anything about visual integration.

It is the same thing wanted like you have done here on LimeSurvey.org with Joomla and Mantis. The bugtracker can be accessed with the joomla credentials. Perryworld want's to access LimeSurvey with credentials in Joomla. Not sure if things like mapping permissiongroups is needed too.

Hi Guys

Thanks for your replies.

This isn't a show stopper but we were just asking if once an administrator in Joomla has logged in would it be possible if he then selected "LimeSurvey Admin" he could automatically be logged into Limesurveys admin rather than entering his credentials again - sounds as if it is possible but it is not critical!

Once again, thanks for your help

Cheers
Rich
