Hi all,
I am newbie here, and developing a survey link. I am wondering how to randomize answers options (single choice, radio list type) except last option. So, it should be like this:
A
B
C
D
None
I want to randomize it each time its reload, except the "None":
C
A
B
D
None
Please help. I've read the manual and tried the script, but it does not work: manual.limesurvey.org/Workarounds:_Manip...28radio.29_questions
Thanks

Hi, Christian,
well, I just imported the example file from this workaround section and everything is fine.
Are you sure you use the correct version of this workaround?
Did you import the sample survey?
There are only two questions, q1 without the script, q2 with the script that shows the fixed answers at the bottom.
But remember: This script is for multi response questions.
Use it for singlwe response by setting the max answers to 1.
Best regards
Joffm

Hi Joffm,
Yes, I imported the survey but when I tried the preview, it did not partially randomize as required.
Attach is my question. Can any one help to make first and second answer option randomize, while third option (Both) is fixed?
Thanks in advance

Is ensured that workaround is valid for the installed version of LimeSurvey?
What version of LimeSurvey is used?

How can we do that if you won't tell us that LimeSurvey version you are using?

I have no idea my version actually. I used the one in the web directly, not install it at the computer. I guess, it is 2.64?

Usually you can find the version of your LS installation in the footer of each page in the back end admin.

So the link to the work around says it has been tested with 2.05, this means it has probably not been tested with 2.6x.
As the templates have changed in between, the script probably won't work for the newest version. If you scroll down a bit, there is also a workaround that seems to work for the newer versions (2.50 and newer). Watch out to search for the steps that are necessary for 2.50 and newer, as there is also a description for the older versions.

The workaround should work on 2.64 (the LT version).
You can see the version number at the bottom of the admin control panel.
