Dear all,

This may be a stupid question but I'm looking for a way to have an attribute contain multiple lines of text, like this:

Line 1
Line 2
Line 3

But Limesurvey requires all data to be on one line:

firstname,lastname,email,attribute_1
John,Doe,john.doe@domain.com,Line 1 Line2

But I need to split the lines at import so they show up neatly on different lines in a question and in the email sent to the participants.

I'm doing the upload through a CSV file generated in a different application and of course, if my csv itself contains multiple lines then the upload fails... I tried adding \n but that didn't do the trick...

Anybody any ideas?

And apologies for posting this in the wrong category (just noticed that) - if somebody can move it over to "Can I do this with Limesurvey" then please feel free to

Did you try inserting a <br /> tag where you want the line breaks?

Like Tpartner. And you could always separate the lines into different attributes as well, then you will have the total freedom of formatting them in the question.

It took me the best part of yesterday to overcome the shame of not having thought of the <br>
But it was indeed the right answer...

@holch - I can't use multiple attributes as the number is variable...

Thanks!
