Problem of columns "jump" in the database

Hello,

I have a problem of "jumps"within my database.

Most of my questions are Arrays, with respondents having a list of names to check (network analysis). Their responses appear on columns.

On the results, however, I observe that a result column "jumps" sometimes, as here on the attached picture: this is the LS results page: the answer "cercle_035" has been overwritten by cercle_47 (blue ovals). Cercle_47 has disappeared from its place between cercle_46 and cercle_48. Cercle_36 has apparently disappeared. So with one answer overwritten and one missing, I have 2 fewer answers (n=142 instead of 144).

A small arrow appears next to cercle_047 (star), but shows nothing.
A mouse hover on cercle_047 gives me inputs from the bdd. I notice that there are relics from a previous questionnaire (!) whose question I had imported and then just transformed the statements and lists.

Have others encountered this problem? Do you have any idea what happened and how to avoid it?

Thank you!

David

Unsure
github.com/LimeSurvey/LimeSurvey/commit/...f4c43fcff91b7d9fa69b

If you have access to PHP file : you can patch your version and see if it's still break.

Hmmm, not sure if a version that is 10 months old can be called "fairly recent", especially given the fact that we are currently at 3.17.8+190722.

Seems too risky. The main questionnaire (not the one displayed as example) is still active. Thanks anyway Denis !

You right. I certainly don't want to lessen the work of the developpers. LS is anyway of great help to me, and I'm going to update asap.

Oh, I didn't thake it like that. I was just highlighting that your version isn't actually that recent as you think and that there have been many bug fixes in the meanwhile. It doesn't make sense to go bug hunting with such an "old" version. First you need to update to the latest version and when the problem persists, then you can open a bug ticket.

You can easily update this single file with a FTP access : this CAN NOT broke online public survey :).
