Unique Dropdowns was created by PaulMRFGR
Hi all,

Wondered if this would be possible.

We have a very big ranking question (with 26 options), and due to the size it just doesn't look great on mobile devices. Considering this, we're looking to do dropdowns instead (where users select the ranking from a dropdown next to each option).

However is there a way to limit the choices so that each ranking is unique? As an example, to stop people who select rank, "1" for option A, also selecting rank "1" for option B?

Thank you.

Denis has published some alternate ranking questions here - demonstration.sondages.pro/714997#

I suppose you are going to use an array (numbers).
As you see in Denis' examples it is just "unique(self)"

Read the manual about "implemented functions"
manual.limesurvey.org/Expression_Manager...mplemented_functions

and the usage of "self"
manual.limesurvey.org/Expression_Manager....22that.22_variables

BTW: Do you really think somebody is able to rank 26 options?

Hi all, thanks for your help here. Really appreciated. Worked like a charm.

Is there a further way to make options disappear from the dropdowns in further answers once selected? E.G. once they select, "1" for option A, "1" doesn't appear as a choice for Option B, C, D, etc?

Thank you.

Need javascript BUT why it's a bad solution.
I chek 1 in 1st dropdown
I review and want to check 1 on second dropdown … i click search 1, don't found it …

If js is good : i have to unselect 1 in 1st, and select 1 in 2 after…
