vv import was created by andiliebl
Dear all,
I am stuck with the vv import. I would like to import plenty of data to a survey but I get error messages telling me the import is successful but questions cannot be assigned. It does not even work if I export a vv file and try to import the same file then.
Any ideas?
I am using:
LimeSurvey
Version 3.14.11+180926

V file must be :
1. In TSV format : Tab separator value
2. Have the exact expression manager question code
3. Be in utf8 (it's better)
4. No new line (this must be fixed since PHP can treat it)
The best way to save VV file is usage of LibreOffice Calc.

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately it did not help.
I installed LibreOffice Calc. I added new data to a vv export file of an example questionnaire so that the question codes correspond (however, the vv export includes two lines, the exact wording and the question code). I saved the new data with a Tab separator. I tried to import the new data which does not work. I get two different errors. One saying that the SurveyDynamic.datestamp is not defines even so I use an anonymus survey. The other one saying that answers cannot be assigned.

Maybe anybody can provide some advice. Please find attached a simple questionnaire and also an exported vv file from this questionnaire which produces errors when trying to reimport it. How can it be that even the file being exported from limesurvey cannot be reimported?

It should be more solid. For me it looks like a bug which can be in the import or export routines.
Your file raises the error message

The VV import/export is not as easy and solid as you expect it to be.andiliebl wrote: How can it be that even the file being exported from limesurvey cannot be reimported?

I just did the update and also tried with and without datestamp. I still get the error message that answers cannot be assigend even if I export a vv file and try to import the same file without adding any data to it which is what I would like to do.

LimeSurvey has a developer bias and developer filter bubble. The way things are automated are unusal to surveytools (e.g. no answer item in every question).

Please post a screenshot of your export and import settings for vv. Screenshots can be in German.andiliebl wrote: I still get the error message that answers cannot be assigend even

@andiliebl : can you report an issue with
1. The LSA file (Survey archive)
2. The VV exported file
Maybe an issue

Yes, but forum are inspiration for bugfix. And usage of VV must not be a dev function. I do a lot of survey, then know what advanced user need in survey : maybe it's my bias : think of adavanced user with really specific needjelo wrote: …
