Upgrading from 3.xx to 3.xx was created by bferrie
Hi everybody,
I get limesurvey version 3.17.8 and i would like to upgrade to 3.17.10 because there is a fixed issue that interests me.
I read the manual manual.limesurvey.org/Upgrading_from_a_previous_version
I think i can apply the "quick way" part, but it's only mentionned version 2 of limesurvey. I would like to be sure that this method is also valid for version 3 ? (I have a custom theme)
Thanks for your help.
Sorry for this uninteresting question.

Volunteers are not paid.
Not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless

Yes, it does.
By the way: I do this by:
1.copying the zip-file to my server.
2. unzip everxthing into a directory by a small php script
3. copy the config.php and the upload folder of the prvious installation to this new one. by the same php script
4. Rename
5. When everything works fine I delete the previous version
That's faster than to unzip lacally and upload the single files to the server.

Also consider supporting further development by using ComfortUpdate.

Once again, thank you Joffm, your help is precious.
I followed your advice, I wrote a php script, it works well !
To ollehar -> Yes, I will consider that. Not for ComfortUpdate, because i like understand how things work, but only because the software and the team deserve this.
Thanks.
