Dear all,

I discovered the following problem (shortened description) during the local installation of limesurvey.

Mysql problem detected
Port 3306 in use by ... "Unable to open process"
Mysql will not start without the configured ports free!
You need to uninstall/disabel/reconfigure the blocking applicationon reconfigure mysql and the Control panel to listen on a different port

How to find out which application is blocking the port or how to reconfigure mysql or the control panel. I could not find the topic when searching the forum. Has it been described before?

Best regards

This is not a Limesurvey Problem, but rather a webserver problem.

However, I assume you are using XAMPP on your local computer as a test/development environment?

Generally Skype is a good guess.

I answer at the LimeSurvey forum in my spare time, I'm not a LimeSurvey GmbH employee.
