HI All


I started using lime server today itself.

I am trying to setup gmail to send me email notifications when the survey is filled. I want to notify the user and the admin both.

But it doesn't seem to work.

And most frustrating part is I cannot find the debug or error msgs anywhere.

I am on a windows XAMPP installation.

So please let me know where can I find the debug file or the error msgs for the SMTP fail.

For testing I fill out the form myself and wait for the email but it doesn't come.


My settings for gmail are:

smtp.gmail.com:587
username
password
TLS
debug onerrors
batch value is 50

This topic has been discussed many times. Have a search in the forum and you will find the way how to get more logs for the email proceedure.

Also the Gmail issue has been discussed (and solved) various times on this forum.

ANd first : test it with token sending ...

Is that the only way to do this?

I just want to send a confirmation to the user and to the admin about the survey bring filled.

I searched the forums and found many answers but none actually give a solution and most discuss the token issue.

I am not exactly trying that method.

With SMTP settings, and debug=2 + maildebug=2 : when sending email you have the complete information about all the connexion.

You just have to make a test to know EXACTLY what is the issue ....

Do I have to edit a php file to get the debug to output the error?

I cannot see where that debug output file will be saved?

For 1st step : set maildebug in global settings/ email to Always.
Send an token email after to see what happen.
