change base language of survey was created by norman
Hi,

Got a user that has created a survey and this is active. The base language in the survey is set as English but they want to now change the base language to chinese. Is this possible or not and how much work would it be?

Thanks.

Paul.

What does stating "is active" imply? You want to change the language without deactivating the survey?

I still wonder why LimeSurvey isn't offering the function to switch the baselanguage.
Should be possible, when a survey is not active.

Currently the only way I see, is to modify an LSS export via an texteditor and than import that modified LSS-surveyfile.

Yes, I mean the survey is active and want to change the base language without deactivating the survey.

Not keen on modifying LSS as I haven't got much expertise in this software. Is there an easy way to change the language?

There is no way to do it with an active survey.

If the survey is not activated you may be able to export, edit the .lss file and import the survey.
