Two linked multiple-choice questions was created by josegovia
Hi.

I have created two multiple-choice questions, and the second depends of what you entered in the first. I explain myself.

Q1 (multiple answer)
  • Opt1
  • Opt2
  • Opt3

Q2 (multiple response)
  • Resp1
  • Resp2
  • Resp3
  • Resp4
  • Resp5
  • Resp6
  • Resp7

If the respondent selects Opt1 in question 1 (Q1), in that case question 2 (Q2) must show the response options Resp1 and Resp2.

If the respondent selects Opt2, question 2 has to show Resp3, Resp4 and Resp5.

And if the respondent marks Opt3, question 2 must show the answer options of question 2 Resp6 and Resp7.

How can I do this?

Thank you

José

Depending on your Limesurvey version: Yes. Since 2.7 this should be possible by using the subquestion relevance.

I am using LimeSurvey 3.6.1

Do you know if there are any examples that I can see? Because I have never used the sub-question relevance.

Sub-question relevance just works like the question or group relevance. You check the conditions under which you want to show a certain subquestion.
Assuming that the subquestion codes in Q1 are Opt1, etc. you would write something like Q1_OPT1=="Y" into the subquestion relevance field to show a subquestion if in the previous question OPT1 was marked.

Thank you very much for your help.

It's just what I needed and I did not think that the solution was there.

Greetings

José
