using display_columns was created by manspan
hi everybody,
I want to align horizontal four answers on a radio-list question. I found that this could be set using "display_columns":

column_style: Defines how columns are rendered for survey answers when using display_columns. Valid settings are:

'css' using one of the various CSS only methods for creating columns (see template style sheet for details).
'ul' using multiple floated unordered lists. (default)
'table' using conventional tables based layout.
NULL disable the use of columns

I could not figure out where to set that attribute. Please, could you help?
regards, Manolis

You don't need that in the latest LimeSurvey version - it automatically uses a Bootstrap grid for the columns.

I have 2.59.1 ver. , do I have to upgrade to 2.65.1?
What "automatically" means? If the answers fit in one row they will be aligned horizontally but if they don't they will be splitting in more than one rows?

I've tried using a 2.65.1 demo installation. No difference:

Is there a way to control it via CSS or something?

Did you activate it in the question settings?

I was pressing the left arrow besides "advanced settings" so no settings were appearing.
When i clicked on "advanced settings" all the settings appeared...
