I want to ask two related questions involving numeric inputs via sliders;

E.g.
Q1: How many birds do you see?
Q2: How many of these XX birds are Red?

Can I alter Q2's slider maximum value so that it's equal to the numeric entry for Q1 ?

I'm trying to enter: {NumberBirds.shown} in the Q2 field for Slider maximum value but it's not working.

Thanks in advance.

Jeff

Hi, Jeff,
there are few things to consider.
The slider layout is available in quesions of type "multiple numerical input".
So there are subquestions, even if there is only one.

So the equation should be: "Q1_SQ001".
Set the max value in "Input" and in "Slider".
Correct:

Wrong:

If you want to have a different max value of the slider shown you have to display on two different pages.

I'm trying to enter: {NumberBirds.shown} in the Q2 field for Slider maximum value but it's not working.

You should have seen an error. As you see in the settings of min, max,... the curly brackets are there already (displayed in the gray parts of the input field). So, if you enter something there - without curly brackets.

Thanks.
