Now I have to ask:
Whom are you going to torture by this? More than 250 items in a drop-down.
I suppose your other question refers to that.
No, it is not.
So you should think about a different design of your questions.
E.g. Multi level with "main catagories" and "sub categories"
Or if possible, use a short question text with "autocomplete". In the last weeks there were a lot of threads about that.

Salutations and complimentary close are not inserted by the forum software. You have to do that manually.
