Hi,

I'm trying to use Russian and German text (especially ß) in Limesurvey. I'm using version 2.05+ build 150310, on RHEL, Apache, Microsoft SQL Server.

Is this possible/what should I have to do to implement?

Some background:

1. I had the default collation set as Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS, this did not work. I did get the database to support Russian characters by changing several columns to NVARCHAR and the whole database collation to Cyrillic_General_CI_AS, but this did not support German text.
2. When I run an insert query on the database prefixing the update/insert with an N, such as update [limesurveynew_rus].[dbo].[lime_surveys_languagesettings]
   set surveyls_welcometext = N'
   Привет, я знаком, Ä/ä, Ö/ö, Ü/ü,ß'
   where surveyls_survey_id = 617938 and surveyls_language = 'ru', the text is stored correctly. Shouldn't Lime be prefixing the queries with N by default?
