Yes, that's what I realized through trial and error. It would be very helpful, however, if LimeSurvey added the possibility to set the Reply-To header as a feature -- it could be included in the global Email options.
In the meantime, I have already edited the manual ( manual.limesurvey.org/Survey_settings ) to reflect the fact that the 'Admin email' field sets the From header and not Reply-To.
Many thanks to Denis and jelo for all your help!
Regards,
Oleg.

About Manual:
Still true ? I think we disallow bad email in From: part ...You can also enter several email addresses separated with a semicolon - that way survey administrator notifications are sent to more than one person (example: "firstaddress@test.com;secondaddress@test.com").

I guess it doesn't make sense to have multiple addresses in the From: field, does it?
On the other hand, it is a valid need to be able to send the admin email to more than one person. The way to resolve this, I think, would be to introduce a separate field for the address to be used for the From: field. In the meantime, though, I have edited the manual again to take out the reference to being able to use multiple fields.
Cheers,
Oleg.

Yes : multiple From email is not allowed according to rfc (surely)
But admin email notification allow multiple email and Expression Manager.
To have error email in mutiple email : use alias for the email From.

Exactly, that's a contradiction right there. Even though it makes sense to allow multiple admin notification addresses, if these are going to be used as the From: header, it'll cause an error. The proper solution would be to provide a dedicated From: setting in configuration options.

I just remove the sentence about admin email . Admin email is just used for 'From', never (now) for email notification (you have to set it manually with {ADMINEMAIL}.
