I have an active survey with base language English.
Now I need to add another language to this survey (Japanese) and want the responses of the Japanese version in the same database as the responses from the English version.

I know that it is basically not possible to add a language to an activated survey. But, I wonder if it is possible to export from the activated survery:
- structure
- questions
- responses
- tokens
and import these data into the new and empty survey.
Survey name can be different.

I would appreciate hints on how to create a bilingual survey with aforementioned features and thank already everyone who gives me the needed hints.

If you import the survey into a new survey, it will use a different table for the results. It will be in the same database, but I assume you were more referring to the table, right?(results all in one table).

But it shouldn't be a big deal, you can always join results very easy in your analysis software later (excel, spss/pspp, etc).
Have a look at the manual! It is a really valuable source for information. Here some helpful links:

I think it's possible to add a new language.

You can not change the 'default' language, but you can add/remove extra language of an activated survey.

While it isn't possible to add additional questions or groups to an active survey, you can always add additional languages even to running surveys.
Simply go to the general survey settings and add a language there.
