LimeSurvey sets the course for the future: Sebastian Wendrich will support the team as CEO
LimeSurvey, provider of the popular OpenSource survey software, is strengthening its management team with the immediate appointment of Sebastian Wendrich. He will focus in particular on marketing and strategy as well as product innovation, thus relieving Carsten Schmitz, who will focus primarily on technical issues in the future.
Wendrich has more than 10 years of experience in digital product development. He first studied media informatics at the University of Applied Sciences in Wedel. After positions in the games industry (Bigpoint, Snapdragon Games) and digital market research at nurago (integrated into GfK), he founded the innovation agency elblabs, where he worked until the end of 2018. elblabs supported clients such as Ströer, Klarmobil and the University of Hamburg in the areas of software development and product innovation.
"Sebastian has the right mixture of entrepreneurship, technical background and innovation methodology to make LimeSurvey more user-centric," says Gunnar Grieger, partner at LimeSurvey. Carsten Schmitz adds: "It was important for us to find someone who would not only help us strategically, but also have an operational understanding of software development".
"Carsten and his team are well positioned to make LimeSurvey a leading survey tool in the coming years. I'm looking forward to the international team and the challenge of being able to use my skills to the maximum," sums up Sebastian Wendrich.
