In this case it will be very easy to integrate LimeSurvey with Joomla or any other application.

I am interested to know what it would take to get Joomla integration, or a wrapper like Roman talks about designed into the new version?

The joosurvey extension isn't an official limesurvey release and therefor we can't give any support.
This extension hasn't seen active development in the past and there are no intentions to integrate jossurvey into the next official 1.x release.

There is a "Ideas & Request" wiki page where you can add your Limesurvey 2.0 wishes.
