Hi,

When I try to export the data of my survey to Excel, I get a message "Can't read file" from MS Excel.

I already tried to save the file, go to excel --> open --> open & repair but that doesn't help.

I can open the survey in CSV but since the survey is in French, a lot of é è à ô ê .... are changed and it's quite annoying.

I tried to export only the first column (ID) and even then, the excel file won't open..

I searched the forum for "export excel read" but I couldn't find any similar problem.


Edit: In fact I just checked and the excel file is just empty, it'0 octets

Hi, plz report the problem in the bugtracker and attach a sample survey.

Then I'll have a look, if I can reproduce the problem on the latest developer version.

hi, I already had a look at it; can you have a look at my attached excel export files and tell me, if they are OK?

I have the same problem, on export I just get a blank excel file and I try to open it, excel is unable to read the file.
I donwloaded and upgraded from 1.52 yesterday.
I'm sending a copy of the file.

Are you sure you are using the latest (1.70) version? I had the same problem in the 1.53 versions but for me 1.70 works perfect with exporting to excel.

Just to get an overview: Can everyone who still has problems with the export please upgrade to the newest 1.70 (Build 4470, dated March 17th) and report if the error still exists.
If so please attach your survey (if it doesn't contain confidential information) and the exported file.

To everyone who could solve this problem: Please give a detailed dewscription what you did exactly to solve the problem.
