I'm installing LimeSurvey on Godaddy. During installation, I'm able to get to step 5, Database Settings. At this step, I receive the message: "LimeSurvey setup. A database named "my.database" already exists. Do you want to populate that database now by creating the necessary tables?" I click the "Populate database" button, then I am taken back to step 1 (Welcome Page) and installation does not continue. Any advice?

I am using a Linux OS, PHP version 5 (5.2.17). I've tried installation with Chrome and Safari.

I don't think this is related, but on the Pre-Installation Check, I get a "Found and Unwritable" error for session.save_path, but have been able to work around that issue with help from another thread. Also, I show an X and not a check for optional modules PHP LDAP library and PHP imap library.

Could anyone help me?

You need to make sure your session save path does actually work.
Disabling the check won't fix it.
