I installed version 2.00+ Build 121106 and upgraded the database/surveys I had from previous Limesurvey versions.

All works, but when trying to create a question, or checking for a newer version of limesurvey, I get this (I turned on the debug (2))

Fatal error: Call to undefined function json_decode() in /var/www/html/limesurvey/application/helpers/common_helper.php on line 5657

How can I sort this?
The administrator has disabled public write access.

seems you are using a php version that doesn't have that function...
php.net/manual/en/function.json-decode.php
