habe nach langer Zeit wieder mit LimeSurvey arbeiten wollen - das ist so langsam :( bricht ab, was ist passiert :S ?

Was meinst du genau mit "langsam" und "bricht ab"? Was genau ist langsam? Die Administration oder die Umfragen (was für eine Art von Umfragen? Viele Conditions, viel Javascript, etc.?)

erst mal die Administration..
auch nur eine kleine Aktualisierung oder Vorschau...er läd und läd ...

Bei der Umfrage selbst dauert es megalang von einer Seite zur anderen. Dass ich eine Umfrage auf eine Seite packe, um dies zu verhindern wäre doch sehr schade ...aber die Leute haben keine Lust zu warten, bis endlich die nächste Frage kommt...

Hmm, hört sich für mich seltsam an. Bei mir hat sich Limesurvey nicht merklich verlangsamt.

Ist das nur auf dem Server oder verhält es sich lokal auch so?

Heisst das, dass du keine lokale Installation hast (z.B. mit XAMPP, also ein Webserver auf deinem eigenen Rechner, für die lokale Entwicklung), oder du kannst keinen Unterschied zwischen dem Webserver und dem lokalen Server feststellen?
