Hi all,

I'm a newbie to lime survey, so I am probably missing something very obvious..

I would like to randomize question groups, so my structure is e.g.

questiongroup1
questiongroup2
questiongroup3

and I want respondents to get these groups in random order.


I am using limesurvey version 2.0RC8.
In this version, when you edit the properties of a question group, you hav the option to choose a random group. Here, I assign '1' as a value. I do this for each question group.

However, this option does not seem to work. When I test my survey (and also when I set it online), the order stays the same and is not random.

I tried to google this, but all I could find was a help file for an older version (1.7x), see attached file.
Herein, it is described how you can change the index.php file to apply a randomization between itemgroups. However, I read in another topic that this file contains some errors and should not be used anymore.

So, I hope that someone can tell me what I am doing wrong..
Is this a bug in my limesurvey version?
Or do I have to 'activate' my randomization somehow?
