phpsurvey is right. This code comes from copy&paste from MS Word.
Here is what I found about the mso 9 thingy:
mso 9 is Office 2000.
You are looking at a conditional comment that says
"if using Internet Explorer and Office 2000 or later is installed then
execute the following code until [endif]" Otherwise skip the code.
The code may or may not be seen in other browsers depending on exactly
how the conditional comments are written.
So don't copy directly from MS Office into Limesurvey (or any other web application), especially not with IE. In the WYSIWYG-Editor in Limesurvey there is also a function "Paste from MS Word" in the extended version. That might also help. But the best thing is, as phpsurvey said already, to switch off the WYSIWYG-Editor, because then you see all the "trash".
