In the survey I have a List Radio question with an Other field, and have set the Other response to mandatory.

But the text that displays doesn't do so correctly:
Please also fill in the "other comment" field.

Where can I edit this in the source code? I tried making the change in locale\_template\limesurvey.pot since that was the only place I could find the text defined, but that doesn't change the message in the survey.

Not immediately sure where the file is located but if you've already checked the locale files for English variables and their equivalent strings, try downloading all of the Limesurvey files to your local machine. You can then search for the relevant text within all of the files, so you can see all of the locations in which it appears.

...with a little help from Windows Grep. It helps to have a good utility for searching for strings.
