Hello,
I have accidentally upgraded my Limesurvey to 2.05b5 and i encounter massive problems

Is there any way the downgrade and go back to the 2.0.

I have tried to restore the old file but it seem that the databases schema have been upated to and I don't want to loose any user, any survey or any answer to surveys

Any idea
Thanks

I don't think you can do that without restoring both files and database. Please reports the problems you found on our bugtracker, that way the team can fix errors for the upcoming version. If you already reported a bug in our bugtracker, please include a link here for reference.

Hello,

I think it's possible, but not guaranteed.

Try:
  1. backup your files and your DB.
  2. Copy your upload directory somewhere
  3. Delete the LimeSurvey directory
  4. Get a new copy of a clean LS2.0 zip file
  5. Uncompress at same directory than old survey
  6. Launch installation agian and choose same DB parameters
  7. Copy the upload directory in the new installation.
  8. Make a lot of test

If this works, it will almost certainly result in errors when he will upgrade to the 2.05 when it is released.

The permission system will be the main source of error when downgrading without changing the db back I think.

Ah , you're right Menno . Don't think of permission table ....

This is needed to be created alone.

Hi again
I have done it all by hand !
The most problematic aspect is retoring rights.
I will try to post on the bug tracker to list the trouble I encountered on the 2.05b5
regards
