Hello all,

I have read some post about erratic sessions expiration, but no one was about sessions expiring at a given question in a survey.

I'm using Version 1.91, but the survey were built using version 1.82. I don't know if it could be an issue.

So this is my problem : when I try to fill-out a specific survey, when I submit a given group of question, my session always dies. In other words, my session dies always at the same place, even thought I erase my browser cache or whether I use Firefox or Explorer.

I'm considering changing my survey but still I find this behavior pretty strange.

Thank you for any information.

1. What happens if you switch to all in one or question by question mode? can you identify a certain question this way causing the problems?

2. Please upload a phpinfo file so we can take a look at your server configuration. Just put the following code into a file named phpinfo.php and upload it to your webserver:
< ?php phpinfo(); ? >
(Delete the spaces next to </> when copying the code.)
After uploading please post the link to the file.

Thank you for your reply.

This is my php info:

http://www.devweb2.fss.ulaval.ca/apti/grise/racine/anorexie/info.php

I followed your advice and I switched to question by question mode. The bug happened again, but not at the exact same question. I imported the questionnaire again using CSV file and when I launched the questionnaire the bug occured again, but sooner in the questionnaire. So the bug might not be related to questions or groups...

Here's the link to my survey:

Thank you for your help.

Hello,

Maybe you can trye : session_db:
Put this in config.php:
$sessionhandler = 'db';
Hello, I changed the setting $sessionhandler = 'cd'; in the config file but the problem is still there.

However, I reset the logic of my survey duplication (i.e deleted all conditions) and after one test (I made only one test so far since my survey is huge) it seems to work pretty well.

Does that make any sense?

Yes, because conditions add complexity to a survey. Maybe an invalid condition has caused problems like an endless loop or the like.
Another possibility is that some security modules/settings prevent larger $_POST sizes which explains why the problem shows up towards the end of the survey.
