Using Javescript I have filtered the answers of a previous question into a ranking scale. The total number of option however is HUGE. So while the question only shows a couple of options they are in an enormous selectionbox. This is not pretty.

I've tryed hiding them with conditions, but with 131 possible answers, thats just to much work.

Could anyone help me out with a script that hides the unused lines and resizes the selectionbox?

Thanks in advance

Can you post a link to a test survey so we can have a look at the live survey?

Ok, this is not the actual survey, but it'll demonstrate the problem.

It was intended to test something else, so it's a bit long and pointless in the middle, but if you keep pressing 'volgende' (dutch for next) youll end up at the ranking question at the end. It'll show just those options selected in the previous question, but the selectionsbox will have room for all options. The question is how to hide all the options and resize the selectionbox to make it fit just the previously selected options whatever number they may be.

I have read a solution for this some days ago at the forum. Please use the forum search to check for the solution. If I remember correctly the solution was posted by user "tpartner".

Yes, Tpartner should be knighted for all the help he's given me.

That being said, can you be more specific, because I can't find what you're refering to.

As Tony has already posted use
#questionQQ select {
height: 185px;
}

Replace QQ with your question ID.

Ok, that would put on a fixed limit but I think I need a flexible limit to the question height. If someone only enters 3 options, i need the box to fix around three. If someone enters 10 options, I need it to scale up.

In this case you need to code some Javascript to adjust the height dynamically.

I'm going to try it with INSERTANS and hiding the no answer with the script Tony provided earlier.
