A recent server upgrade led us to install the Version 1.91+ Build 10746

I utilize detailed notification of submitted responses and was able to receive an email but it was not encoding/ decoding properly. This was resulting in the subject still having the utf-8 encoded text.

To: ****@******.org
Subject: =?UTF-8?B?PT91dGYtOD9CP1VtVnpjRzl1YzJVZ2MzVmli?=
=?UTF-8?B?V2x6YzJsdmJpQm1iM0lnYzNWeWRtVjVJSFJsYzNRPT89?=
X-PHP-Originating-Script: 33:class.phpmailer.php

The body of the email also remains encoded and can be decoded using a base 64 decoder.

I utilize the phpmailer setting and this is installed on an UBUNTU 11.04 server. The phpmailer has changed with the new server/ubuntu version and that could be affecting limesurvey. Multiple email clients read the email the same way. Thunderbird is my primary client and did not have issue in the past. The emails go through so the To addressing is working.

Any thoughts would be helpful. We may try downgrading limesurvey to our previous version to better determine if limesurvey or the phpmailer is the issue.

Thank You
Eric

I switched over to SMTP to send email and the encoding/decoding problem is fixed. It would seem to indicate an issue with the phpmailer.
