[Solved] Sessions do expire after Update 3 years 4 months ago #61809

Hi,
I am using Limesurvey 1.91+ (now Build 10168) on a LAMP Server with 5.2.6-1+lenny9 and Suhosin Patch 0.9.6.2.

We used to work with limesurvey the last couple of years without any problem.

We created a survey and did a successful Pre-Test in may. Now we implemented the changes and tried to put it online, but there is no chance to complete the survey, because you loose your session after the first couple of Questions and get an error-page.

After the last updates a week ago, there were troubles with updating to the last Version. So I did a complete reinstall and moved the old config.php (and some templates) to the new installation. I cannot see any errors in the server-logs.

There are some issues about session expiration and Suhosin patch, but why did it start after the last update without any problem before?

I found out, that there is a little thing in config.php to change, that this errors vanish:

line 39: there was a slash at the end of the $rootutl-line:
$rooturl = "http://{$_SERVER}/";

after changing to
$rooturl = "http://{$_SERVER}";

it worked without any error ...
