Hello everyone,

I've been trying to get Limesurvey working for some time.

I've installed everything, and limesurvey seems to exist on my webserver, which is provided by my university:
www.srcf.ucam.org/~gmm37/limesurvey/

When I go to the admin.php page I am prompted to enter my username and password:
www.srcf.ucam.org/~gmm37/limesurvey/admin/admin.php
I've tried to enter both "admin" and "password" as suggested by limesurvey and my own limesurvey username and password, but neither works!

I always get to a browser page (using Google Chrome and Internet Explorer) saying that this page cannot be found or does not exist.

I've followed the installation manual very carefully, I've looked through the forums and the limesurvey installation FAQs, but I cannot find a solution to my problem.

It's quite urgent, because I need to get my survey up and running very soon!

I'd be really grateful for any advice!

Looking at the URLs you have provided (especially the www.srcf.ucam.org/~gmm37/limesurvey/ is suspicious) you have the wrong path in the root section of the config.php.

holch scrf or srcf ?

I take 5 minutes to find the mistake

yeah, but this is weired, because usually limesurvey should find the domain and subdomain itself. Seems like gmm put the whole path into the rooturl and somehow mixed scrf and srcf up.

what a monumentally stupid mistake!
