I have a problem: Some of my participants do not get the invitaion email with the link to register and fill in the questionnaires. I use a closed survey (no public registration possible). It is independent of the mail account (e.g. some gmail adresses get the email, others do not). I neither get the email that the participants have completed the survey. It seems that there is something wrong in sending back and forward the mails. Does anyone have a clue? Would be very helpful!

Please check spam folders. Some providers also use blacklisting which might cause problems, too.

If some users receive the emails it doesn't seem to be a misconfiguration.

I checked the spam folder. There is nothing in it?! Could there be any other reason??

It is very difficult to say, why some do receive the email and others not.

As long as there is no error message from the mail server that you are sending the mails to, it is almost impossible to figure out what could cause the problems. Obvioulsy Limesurvey is sending mails out.

Question is, what happens to the other emails? Are they sent or not?

Do they reach the opposite mail server?

Are they rejected by the mail server? Are they rejected by the user?

So you see, there is a lot of stuff that can go wrong.

Which method do you use to sent the emails?

Is there a way to check of any email bounced back?

I have the same problem.Is about the global setting?. i try to figure out
via email setting : PHP (default), but couldn't find it.

I reckoned that the survey managed by Windows NT couldn't sent invitation email.The apache webserver has not. I have tried on both servers.
