I've a little problem with question type: File upload

I notice that a file (for example manual.pdf) is correctly uploaded after completion of the survey, on the server directory:
/var/www/<My_Dir>/upload/surveys/<Survey_Id>/files

but its name is strange (for example: fu_52ni7vbdrbvfayq) and without extention.

If I add .pdf suffix (fu_52ni7vbdrbvfayq.pdf) and I open it, the document is really the file uploaded, manual.pdf
But I would like to have the file uploaded on the server with its original name and extention.

Do I have to configurate something?

For security reasons the file name is encrypted and the file type is left out. You can download all files from the browse response screen as a ZIP archive which will then contain the correct names and types.

I'm so not having any luck downloading the files the respondents uploaded when they took the survey. My admin interface is acting cranky and I don't have time at the moment to figure it out. Where bouts on the server are they stored so I can grab them via ftp?

I don't have problems using FTP tools (like FileZilla),
but the files uploaded have encrypted names and the file type is left out,
so it is not so simple without the LimeSurvey admin interface.

You can see directly the information in the DB MySQL, table lime_survey_<SURVEY_ID>, field 'text':
in that field you have all information about the uploaded file, original name and extention.
