Trouble importing survey (.lss) was created by stummjr
Hi, folks!
I'm having trouble importing a lss file into LimeSurvey (2.05+ Build 140730). It imports the questions, but the answers are not imported. I have checked my lss file against lss files generated by LimeSurvey and I still don't know what is happening.
I have attached the lss file I'm trying to import. Do you guys see something wrong with the file?
Thanks in advance,
stummjr.

What do you mean with "answers"? The answer options for each questions or the answers given by respondents? Later will not be included in the LSS file.

With "answers" I mean the answer options for each question.

Imported it and there are also no answer options available.
Now, this either means there are none (but I am sure you checked that before, right? )
or they haven't been exported
or they haven't been imported
What do they look like? How many answer options are there?
Could you upgrade to the newest LS build (141020) and see if this problem still persists? There have been a few updates since your build and if there was a problem it might be resolved by now.

The lss file I am trying to import is generated by a script that I built to generate surveys from lists of questions/answers that I get from another source.
I've already checked whether the qids are matching between answers and questions, and they are.
It's worth mentioning that I've noticed that LimeSurvey changes the qids that my script assigns to my questions. When it happens, Limesurvey should also change the qids referenced in the answers, am I right? My guess is that it does not import the answers because of its old and now invalid qids.

OK, this is a very important piece of information!
So there must be something wrong with the script generating these answers.

I had a quick look at your LSS document and I am not sure if this could be the problem, but your data is not following 100% the same scheme as one I have exported from one of our surveys.
The exported survey follows this way:
Your file includes breaks.
As I said, not sure if this is the real problem, but maybe you can give it a try.
The exported survey follows this way:
Code:
<qid><![CDATA[158]]></qid>
Your file includes breaks.
Code:
<qid> <![CDATA[158]]> </qid>
As I said, not sure if this is the real problem, but maybe you can give it a try.

Just formatted one row the way it was in the exported version and it didn't do have much impact on the import.
Hmm, maybe one of the developers has a better idea.

I have already tried it, with no success. I'll take a closer look at the file... there must be a catch.
