With version 2.05 I saw this at the Installation instructions:
"We do not support any IE version running in Intranet-mode or Compatibility-mode!"

I think, this is new since 2.05 because is wasn't a problem until then. We will use LimeSurvey (planning to use) within an intranet and the policies has activated to display Intranetsites with Compatibility-mode.

So - what could I do?

I found this meta tag: '<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=10, IE=9; IE=8; IE=7" />' to disable this mode for LimeSurvey.
Would it be a possibility to put this to every page and what would be the easiest way to do this?

Sven

Hi,

We already force IE to be edge (IE8 to IE8, IE9 to IE9, IE10 to IE10). But seems in some condition, this don't work : bugs.limesurvey.org/view.php?id=8676

We test on our IE9, it work without problem. We add
<!--[if IE]><meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=edge" /><![endif]-->
every where. But ????

Then you can test and see if it's OK.

PS: Compatibility mode are a real pity. Example:
- IE7 and ranking are OK
- IE6 and ranking are OK
- IE9/compatibility-mode : KO ....
Real pity and real buggy.

I am using the actual Version 2.05+ Build 140212

I'm using IE10 and found the info, that Microsoft doesn't support Conditional comments with IE10 and higher (Link). I could not confirm this. I checked with style-tags and it works. But not with the meta-tag!?

So, if I use the page without Conditional comments for the meta-tag, it works.

What can I do? For administration of the surveys, I can handle it, but I have to ensure, the surveys looks well.

OK, fix it in next release :).

PS: not sure for publi survey. Public survey work in IE7. But ranking question can have some bug in IE9 with IE7 mode

PS2: thanks for the link !! Great help.
