i install the 2.05 latest version, but cannot set the Webserver authentication plugin.
attached the screenshot,is that the same interface with you?
i am planning to integrate another mysql cms system users database. then participant need not register in LS again.

Auth plugin system can be used to take another DB and auth system if needed.

yes,i am planning use this function, but i didn't find any form to key in DB name and password.

You need to do your own plugin here.

You can start (for forms and some function) by ldap plugin.

When you say 'participant'... do you mean people who need to fill out a survey? If so, that is not what authentication plugins are for. The authentication plugins handle authentication to the backend (admin part) of limesurvey.

If you do want to give access to the admin part of limesurvey and want to use a plugin to use external user database, we can start talking about that.

yes, we call users as participants, who will answer the survey. always more than 5000 for a survey.
as to admin members, always 1 or 2 people, we need not webserver authentication. and for site security.
typically, in other cms system, webserver authentication is used to save participants's timing to register and key in personal profile.
