i always use list(radio)type question.
what's the spss output data difference if we choose the SPSS export scale type option"norminal, ordinal, scale, default"?
especially for the default option, what's the real meaning data format?

I use SPSS and Limesurvey so will try to explain.
In SPSS > version 15 one of the columns in Variable View is Measure.
Here is where you define your data in terms of it being one of - Scale, Ordinal or Nominal.
I'm not sure what the default is but I don't stipulate so I guess I use the default which works perfectly.
The best is to make a test survey, add some responses and try it out.
