I have questions that have Checkbox answers but when export I just see YES or NO as the answers. How do I get it so that the field says What is your primary specialty? and the answer is the actual NAME of the checked item ex. General pediatrics

What is your primary specialty?
[ ] General pediatrics
[ ] Pediatric sub-specialty (SPECIFY):
[ ] Family medicine
[ ] Other (SPECIFY):
[ ] What is your secondary specialty? (SPECIFY):

Hallo DevGod,

I think need coding to change it in limesurvey.
I usually do it by export database to excel or SPSS,
then i record the answer using macro vba excel, or i use syntax to recode the answer by spss syntax that i generated by vba excel

that sounds hard and complicated to do. is there any other way to get the checkbox question answers to appear when exporting?

Unfortunately, that isn't possible.
