Here's a simple one that I am just not getting. I found the documentation here:

docs.limesurvey.org/Using+regular+expres...ssions_in_conditions

It would be helpful if there was an explanation of the structure at the top. This is probably a standard that I am just not familiar with, my apologies.

Anyway, my simple question. I have a question which requires a numeric answer between 1 and 30. So all I want is a validation statement that says < 30.

I also searched the forum with no luck as well.

Thanks!

Solution 1: Use a slider question with a fixed range of 1-30 and make it mandatory. This way you will not receive any invalid answers at all.

About the current approach: Which Limesurvey version do you use? Can you create a 2 question sample survey with a regular expression, export it and attach it here for testing?

Hello,

if you are using LimeSurvey 1.91+ one simple sollution would be to create a "numeric input" question and set the "Minimum value" and "Maximum value" in the advanced question settings.

Thanks. I was able to setup a slider and that is a great suggestion. My concern is that it might not get the response the respondent initially thinks.

I am running 1.91RC1 and it doesn't have the min max options. I'm investigating updating (use Simple Scripts to manage and they are still on RC1)

I knew you all would have the answer. What a great community :-)

If Simple Scripts really offer a "RC = release candidate = unbstable) version, that would be poor (and potentially unsafe).
