I have been using the file upload question type in a survey and am now trying to download the files.

I keep getting the message that the zipfile containing the uploaded files is in an unknown format or damaged. Can anyone help me with this problem?
The administrator has disabled public write access.

1. When does the error show up? When opening the downloaded file?

2. Which program do you use to open the ZIP file?

3. Can you post a sample ZIP file so we can test?

1. The error appears when opening the file.
2. Have tried with WinRAR and the inbuilt Windows decompression
3. A file is attached, but i just noticed it is 0 bytes in size. The filesize when downloading from limesurvey was 60 MB. I have now also tested with downloading files from only a few respondents. It works fine up till 3 respondents with a filesize of 46 MB.

Hmm, this definitely isn't a Limesurvey problem I guess.

You might want to check your server settings, maybe the script terminates the ZIP export due to some execution time or memory limitations at the server settings.

Please switch on debug mode by adding the following line to your config.php file:
$debug = '1';

Are there any additional errors reported on top of the page?

Our system administrator had a look at the issue and it was indeed a time out issue on the server. Thx for your help
