Hello

Is it possible to have check boxes instead of radio buttons in arrays, so more than one option can be selected? I am using the 'Array by coumn' option.

Thanks

Rob

Hello,

You can use array of number , and select the Use checkbox option in advanced settings.

I have got a list of radio buttons, ie four lines of text as 4 answers, and I want people to be able to choose more than one answer. that's all I want. I now know that that's not possible with radio buttons. I have read lots of forum entries on using array/matrix with checkboxes for multiple answers, but that does not seem to work either. say, I choose array (texts), I then immediately have two colums, x and y, and I don't want that. all I want is tick boxes in two or three answers. I can't do any coding, so am completely reliant on what the system offers. many thanks in advance for letting me know which question option I should choose.

Use 'Multiple choice' question type for checkboxes.

thank you so much robshim, and apologies I did not see that. I did try multiple options, but since I needed a 'none of the above' button (which the 'other' option did not offer), I am back with 'array by column'. all looks good there, there is just one tiny problem: my three "sub-questions" (the ones displayed at the top, one being 'does not apply') are displayed 'double', so I am getting six columns instead of three. see screenshots attached, of what I have entered (the three options) and how it displays (doubled up). any idea how I could fix this? many thanks.

I would just delete the question and remake it, seems to work fine for me, see attached.

Many thanks again. In the end I had to retype the entire survey, any copy and paste seemed to bring on similar problems. At the moment, I seem to have something that works, so thanks again.
