Why do numric variable cannot be imported in spss?

When using the syntaxe downloaded from Lime Survey, numeric variables are missing in the dataset. The only solution found so far was to change numeric format to an alphanumeric format. Then the variable are transferred correctly and I convert them back to a numeric format. This is what happens with Lime survey 1.87+.

Is this corrected in other versions of Lime survey? Is there a way to avoid this?

Thank you

As far as I know, this is normal behaviour because SPSS won't allow variable names starting with numerals.
