When running a test of our anonymous survey we noticed that it still collects a datastamp although the datestamp is turned off on the survey. We are not wanting to collect any personal details/ip addresses or dates. When we print the survey out via admin on the last page it shows a datestamp which shows an incorrect date. Also when we export our data to SPSS dates are present but all around 1980 year.
I've included the last page print out of the survey as you see the date is not accurate but it is still collected and wish not to collect it at all.

If you set your survey to be anonymous (at the survey setting) AND also set it to collect a datestamp, Limesurvey automatically stes the datestamp to 1980-01-01 for anonymity reasons.
You should switch for future of the datestamp feature for future surveys at the survey settings.

Can the survey be set to not collect any date? We have the datestamp feature off but it still collects the date although a fake one of 1980. Our preference would be to not have any date collected at all.

Is that enabled?

No we do not have the datestamp enabled at all which is why it is so strange that the survey is still collecting a date when exporting to SPSS or when printing the survey even though the date is inaccurate.
We really would prefer not to have any date collected.

Any ideas?

When exporting to Word or Excel you can choose which columns should be included at the export.
At SPSS it should also be now problem to ignore or remove data of a certain column.

To my knowledge the submitdate is stored to be able to filter by date later on, e.g. at the admin statistics.
