I have imported the survey at my test server and made the multiple choice question non mandatory and visible:

Link for part 1:
limesurvey-templates.com/20/index.php/su...82/newtest/Y/lang/nl

Link for part 2:
limesurvey-templates.com/20/index.php/su...882X747X15053SQ001/Y

It works like a charm and the conditions seem to be correct as well.

Please note that I am using Limesurvey 2.0 which uses a different link syntax. At Limesurvey 1.92 the link to part 2 would look like:
limesurvey-templates.com/20/index.php?si...882X747X15053SQ001=Y

Mazi, you really are one of a kind.
Many thanks for looking through the file and the MCQ. Apparently, the mistake lay probably in the mandatory field and definitely in the ending of the URL.
As a complete programming novelist, detecting the flaw would have been a hopeless journey for me.

is it possible to have a two part survey in one survey instead of two? i think need something like a save point or something. ie. a participant finishes the first section of a survey then they are asked if they want to continue if they select yes the previous (part one) answers is saved in the database and cannot be removed.

Any thoughts?

When you create a survey, one of the configuration questions asks whether you want the user to have the ability to save the survey part way through and continue later. Another configuration question asks whether you want to allow a user to go backwards and re-answer questions for which an answer has already been provided.

In effect, users can quit a survey at any point they choose; save their answers, and automatically return to where they left off. This is all part of how Limesurvey works by default.

jbauer, do you use tokens at your survey?

BTW, Limesurvey saves data each time you click the "next" button. So if you do not show the previous buttons, the "answers is saved in the database and cannot be removed" condition is fulfilled.
