Hi,

I am in need of assistance with regard to the format I would like my survey question to display.

The format I would like my questions to be displayed is attached in the DESIRED Example Question Format.word doc file. The main question is provided and the user is able to respond to specific fields contained in the table.

I have found that by using "Array by numbers" as the question type (in the edit question field in limesurvey) allows me to create the desired format.

However I have experiences issues when I attempting to:

1.Specify alphanumeric text as dropdown answer options E.g. N/A T+0, T+30
2.Group answer options E.g. 1-10%; 11-20%.

The screenshot's attached in the issues doc provide a detailed description.

Thank you for taking the time to read this document. Any help or solutions would be most welcomed.

Kind regards,

Leslie

I looked into that, I didn't find a real solution as well.

What is funny is that you could do what you want to do with dual scales, but I couldn't find a solution to do the same for a single scale...
Have a look at the manual! It is a really valuable source for information. Here some helpful links:

I can think of 2 solutions:

1) Use JavaScript to replace the dropdown values as in this post.

2) Create several select-one-dropdown questions and then use CSS to make them appear to be sub-questions (remove space between, hide question text, etc). This solution would probably be more flexible but the details would depend on the template being used.

Laddy, if you want to go with option 2, supply a small sample survey and let me know what template you are using and I'll provide some CSS.
